I'm amazed no one has mentioned my favorite bird to watch...the Hummingbird:

Hummingbirds are beautiful little creatures, and considering their size, they can fly at up to 34 mph as well as hover to collect nectar.

Yes you can:

http://www.drinkingbirdshop.com/

Google Shopping results for drinking bird

I'd watch it with those, though. According to what I just read, their "tail" contains Methylene Chloride, and I know just what that is. It's quite hazardous and shouldn't be used around young children, and you've got to be real careful that it doesn't break and get spilled.

The reason I know what methylene chloride is is that it was one of the chemicals (a solvent) we used in the boat building shop. It was used to temporarily liquefy already-hardened resin, and there's quite a list of toxic side-effects associated with it.

Wow - thanks - but have you seen the price of the 11" birds? $69. 95!!!

I won't be getting one now that you've explained about the methylene chloride though. Is this what they've always used??

I don't know. I only just read that at the first link. I didn't know what they used before now.
