What's black dog, T? Depression itself?
Depression attacks people in varying degrees. There's just "feeling down", which most people get now and again, but depression itself can become a serious illness unless it's treated. It depends on what's caused it and how long the depressive feelings go on for.

Fortunately I'm ok but I work with people who suffer from it...
And it can affect anyone..

I see. Thanks for that. I'd never heard of the organisation, but people need to be understood and to have somewhere that they can go to, or someone they can talk to, to ease their troubled minds.
Not including bi-polar disorder, severe depression can take a long time to go. Sometimes medication helps, but there's a need for trained personnel to listen and to treat the sufferers kindly. It's a terrible illness for those who suffer with it, and they feel isolated.

I think that'd be helpful. His feelings probably came out in his art.

Yes, I think sufferers have to try and channel the negativity into something good, but it's not always easy for them to do.
