No, I can make what I like making well, but I wouldn't class myself as competent. I like baking cakes and doing small fiddly bits of party food. If you told me to make a Beef Wellington, you'd almost gag on my pastry! Well, maybe that's over-exaggerating it, but I just come up with good ideas for the table and make sure that everything's served up nicely.
