It seems that Canonical is dropping its contribution to cloud computing, and not all are happy with it:Ubuntu One falls from the clouds
My attention was called to this by an email inviting me to 'rescue' my data from the service. I tried it at one time in the past, but dropped it, since Linux Mint doesn't have access. Any information I have there is so old that it's completely deprecated.

One of the first things I do is uninstall Ubuntu One from any new distro. Good riddance as far as I'm concerned. There are other clouds if I want to use them.

Thanks for the heads up Glenn, but I've never used it.
I'm a little leery about putting things out there in cyberspace, much less for safe keeping.
I do have DropBox because of critique partners who used it. But haven't had anything new in it for a long time.
