For cleaning old and scratched wooden furniture

Post by Ice.Maiden »

Take 3 parts of linseed oil to one part of turps, and using a woollen cloth, dab it onto the scratched and dirty area. Leave to dry, and then buff with a clean dry cloth. The furniture'll come up shiny and like new.

Good job I'm tea total now Vikki, otherwise I might've BEEN on that by now!
Erm - sorry - went off at a tangent there. I think the linseed neutralises the turps somewhat, but you don't soak the furniture - just dampen then buff.
