I have never made any earthenware in my life, nor have I ever been employed by any railroad conveyance for such an activity.

Can't speak for Glenn, but my son's seen it. He says it's good, although bits are missing (as per).

Almost, yes, but with added dialogue and everything, you can stretch these things out.

Nothing like saying it as it is.

Don't know. I was supposed to be seeing a good friend of mine tonight, but personal issues meant that I cancelled it. She was saying that she'd been to see the film a few days ago, and whilst it was good, her eyes couldn't get used to the 48 frames per second or however it's shot. She said it took a while for her eyes to adjust to it, and on top of that, agreed with others that it's not quite like the book. Still, I'll decide for myself when I watch it.

i'm not worried about it not being like the book - LOTR, if you break it down, is not all that much like the book but it IS the book at the same time. i guess it's the different between living through something and then reading someone else's account of it - you were there, they were there, you went through the same things, but you have different experiences.

That's true, yes, and many films these days are simply "based on a story by ...." which means it's probably miles off the original. I don't mind that at all, providing it isn't a true story where facts are twisted.

So have you seen the film threenorns? What did you think to it?

Well you said you were GOING, but not that you'd actually been.

How do you mean I'll regret waiting for the DVD? Meaning it's too good to wait for, or that I won't be wanting it?? : (
