from what I read learning multiple languages as a child makes it easier for you to learn new ones.

... which is why depriving deaf kids of signlanguage is bullshit just because they got CI and so are supposed to be "hearing" all of a sudden. but that was a digression.

The drawback of democracy is that everyone gets to decide - even the ones who don't have a clue. Middle way I find is often the best. I will be the first to admit that I'd not like to not live in a democracy. I wonder how it would be to elect a council where everyone running had the education needed...

saami is way closer to finnish, yes. Like finnish it has much better rules than norwegian, which is a mix-pot with tons of exeptions. I hate exeptions to rules.

... so theoretically... all I need to learn is the rules... *sigh* I hate rules...

lol! yes, is very expensive to live in norway. Makes us feel like kings and queens when we travel. Everything is taxed silly, and then we reap the benefits. That no one is ever happy about as we, as so many otherse, suffers from being too democratic.
