Re: sun voyager

Southwestern Iceland. Don't quote me on this, but I believe it's the spot where two tectonic plates meet (and are drifting apart).. the area has a lot of volcanic activity as well! How neat is that? A bunch of vikings get together to form a government and choose a volcano as a meeting spot! hahaha.....

Re: sun voyager

I would love to go to iceland! My roommate went a couple years ago (he is Norwegian) and loved it. He took plenty of photos all over the island.. it's so beautiful! Have you seen the crack in the Earth where the first Icelandic parliament used to meet?

Wow, those were some excellent examples to explain how misleading percentages can be, Kellemora! I've never given much credit to percentage quotes, but I never gave them much thought either. I like the age example, especially!

Re: Downtown Seattle at 4am

I like to interact with everything around me right now. I like to take time to realize where I am and what I'm doing at any given moment.. It's so easy for me to become lost. I'm currently going through a phase of taking pictures of everything.. which is fortunate because the sunsets have been amazi...

Re: Downtown Seattle at 4am

I had to open the store after closing it the night before! I had to catch the very first bus in order to get there on time. And come to think of it, it wasn't 4am, it was 5am.. not that there's that much difference when you're up that early! Phew.. that was a long day, though!

Re: Mt. Rainier

Oh, that second photo isn't mine (the one with the tree). It's just where I want to get my next sunset picture (Golden Gardens). I found it online..

I live in North Seattle, though I work downtown (the Denny Triangle area) and in Greenwood!

Yeah, I live in Seattle. I've been wanting to get a shot of the sunset over the Olympics, but I haven't been out to the beach in quite a while. It's pretty amazing!

Maybe whoever wrote the bible didn't expect there to be such a high literacy rate in the future?

Re: restaurant day

At a pub I used to work at we'd have potlucks all the time. This was illegal, of course, but we would do it anyway. We were more concerned with the spirit (no pun intended) of the law, and so were our LCB agents (luckily).

I'll be out and about soon enough! haha.. I've been so stir crazy being cooped up in the house with this injury, but it's healing up nicely. Argh.. and the clouds! It's partly sunny today, but even partly sunny is enough to obscure the mountains.

Re: Thistles

I was thinking a giant squid fighting a whale , or a nuclear submarine, with maybe some naval mines and a sunken tallship added in for fun.. I've been toying with the idea for years now, though at some point I'll bring it up with my tattoo artist. He's a genius, incorporating ideas and being flexibl...
