Rotate Your Bras Daily

Postby Yogi » 22 Aug 2014, 14:41

I have it on good authority that you who wear bras should not wear the same one two days in a row. It seems that the band needs time to recover as does your skin from the pressure points. To be honest, I never thought about it. But, it does seem like good advice.

It's very good advice Yogi. Bras lay next to your skin, and, as ones which can cause yeast infections through being too tight, repeated wear can causing sweating, chafing and lead to the same problem. I don't know any woman who'd wear a pair of pants for more than a day max, so why would they keep the same bra on for ages? It's not just that skin and material need time to recover, but they get dirty, despite being buried beneath clothes.

Glad I read this. I envisioned Rotating Your Bras as meaning something else entirely.

When I was at school, there was a girl who said that she hadn't changed her bra for 2 months. When she got undressed for PE, you could see that it was grubby, but she said it didn't matter because she had a bath every 3 days and "kept clean".

A bath every three days?
One of my step-daughters often took THREE showers per day at HOME, plus the one at school after gym class.
She was sure glad when she got her own bathroom, so she could leave her underclothes hanging all over the bathroom.
I guess her mom got her into this habit? Mom took a shower when she woke up, and one when she got home from work. Daughter took one when she got up, one when she got home from school before she changed her school clothes to work clothes, and another when she got home from work. She also had a shower at school after gym class, which was her class before lunch for a couple years. The only time she didn't shower after school was when her gym class was during the last period of the day. She changed for work at school too.

Well you HAVE to, don't you - but it seems that not everyone's quite so hygienic. Shudder.

Funny though, Gary, because many moons ago before I was even thought of, children used to have a weekly bath and use the water which their parents'd been in first! Good heavens - but that's what I've been told. I'm sure they must've had strip-washes in between, but I've never heard of anyone catching anything unpleasant from not bathing/showering daily. I sometimes wonder if our "new found" hygiene isn't responsible for some of our weaknesses? People seem an unhealthy lot these days, what with colds and stuff.

In the Middle Ages, there was a saying amongst Europeans - that they only bathed twice in their life - once when they were born, and when they departed! LOL. I'm sure they were a bit more clean than that really, but there's a saying we have over here: "A bit of muck never hurt anyone".

The thought of not being able to have at LEAST one shower or bath a day seems revolting to me, and yet there're places in the world where water shortages make it impossible, and even if folk don't live near to rivers, they still manage to survive.

I think it has something to do with the thought that "cleanliness is next to godliness." That makes me wonder how many showers the Big Kahuna takes in a given day. LOL

I have to agree with you Icey.
Keeping too clean has to reduce your auto-immune system.

When I was a kid, we all played outside and got filthy dirty every single day.
Soaked up a lot of Sunshine Vitamin D too.

In our entire school, as far as I remember, we only had two kids with serious allergies.
One was allergic to milk, so got tea at lunch. The other was allergic to wool, or more precisely, the materials contained in our school uniforms. So she got to wear a skirt that closely resembled the school uniform, not just anything she wanted.

Jump ahead to when my kids were in school. Over one-hundred of his classmates had a serious allergy to something. Everything from feathers, to cats, to dairy, to certain foods, and clothing materials.

I hear today, nearly 85% of students are allergic to something, not necessarily life threatening, but enough so they have to avoid it.

Wonder what they would do if they were allergic to cell phones, hi hi...

TTUL

LOl @ Yogi!

Allergic to cell phones? I think I fall into that category - or at least, prefer not to use them very often.

I had a different mental image. I envisioned rotating them like an airplane propellor...turn it upside down for a day. You could take pictures every day for a month, then run them as a movie, with the bra rotating at high speed. Put a running airplane engine in the background for effect!

That would be true 180° rotation! :P

:lmao4:

I just had a thought: would not an upside down bra be more logical? you know, with the strap going across your upper chest instead of over the lower ribs? with being short wasted it sure would.

hm...

Since your heart is on the left side of your chest.
Does this mean that 'Cross-your-heart' bras are lopsided?
