It's a sad but kinda nice day.

Postby Sandra » 25 Jan 2008, 07:11

It would of been my mothers 76th birthday today and I would be in the kitchen preparing her 'haggis & neeps' for later this evening as it's 'Rabbie Burns' day here in Scotland. It's a kind of strange day. I feel more at peace this year than I did last when I was in bits and couldn't face the world for love nor money. But today has a calmness about it, it feels really strange, in a nice way tho!

I'd just like to say to all they people who told me it gets easier as the years pass by. I'm still coming to terms with her passing but when I think of her, the tears don't come as fast and I tend to smile with delight now instead of tears of anger and frustration because she was taken away from us.

Happy Birthday Mum....xxxx

I'm sorry for your loss, Sandra. I can't remember exactly how I dealt with the death of my father. Trial and error, I think.. a little heavy on the error. I hope you and Hays are doing well though, and I send you my best wishes.
