Ever wonder how long it takes to paint a Boeing 747?

N801NW Airbus A330-323 went to the paint shop no Jan 14 2009 it is still there.
I've been watching for it to depart.

since nobody would be too thrilled to have me call at 1.30 and ask about it, i looked up some and this fatso would take 5 days to paint.

it's a Boeing KC-135A Stratotanker. we're are talking the final coats for all parts are already primed, mostly with this real icky green colour:
