It's lovely, but I don't think I could live on a small island like that. I'd keep thinking that a storm was going to brew up and flood me out! Now if the house was standing up on a rock .....
Well I suppose even if you use it as a holiday place, you'd still need a boat or something to reach it, although I can see some more land not far away from it.
It's very picturesque, but I don't like flat expanses of water, after nearly drowning in some.
The Maspaloma Beach in Gran Canaria - a beautiful area of dunes which, separated by about 64 miles of the Atlantic, are the tail end of the Sahara sands; now dotted with hideous naked forms. Nakedness doesn't bother me, but you feel like saying: "Put 'em on again!" : )
I cannot quite grasp the point of lolling on a beach for hours.... swimming is great, but baking in the sun, dripping into your eyes, flies buzzing about, wasps if you brought a sandwich, the guy next to you changing into his speedos....
I'm the same. I've never liked roasting on a beach when there's so much more you could be doing/seeing. I've known loads of examples where folk haven't even left their hotel pools to do THAT much though. : ( Fancy shelling out hundreds or thousands for a holiday, and then just lying there. It seems a hell of an expensive way to relax to me.
