Dolphin cruise...

Postby brandtrn » 26 Oct 2012, 00:16

A few shots of leaping dolphins, for your viewing pleasure. So sad, I'm headed back home to the grind in two days :vrysad:

Lovely. Isn't it so much better to see them in their natural environment, than being imprisoned in pools?

Absolutely, Ice Maiden! They're obviously so much happier in their natural environment, and entirely more beautiful! Interesting, too, how they just loved to chase after the boat so they could jump in the waves...they are such social creatures!

Great pictures Cindy. Thanks for sharing them with us. It's go to be awesome to be that close to them in their own environment.

I've seen bottle nosed dolphins in Gambia, but as with those above, we went out on a boat trip on a visit to the Canaries and the dolphins were right up close. Amazing to watch them play and swim right alongside the boat, as did a pilot whale.

No - it was amazing to see, but because I don't carry a camera around with me, I missed a wonderful few snaps which I'd have liked to've kept.

We hardly bother with them at all. In some respects, that's a shame. I used to take pics, but then get moaned at by the OH for not hurrying up!! Poo.

does the silly man not understand that in a few decades his memory will not be that good and those pictures would serve to remind him of things long since forgotten?

I agree with you, but he seems to think that because we have photos of the family, we should be able to remember anything else. Took a few in Bogota, and then he stopped me, because of all the security present. They even had police patrolling the car parks, so maybe he was right there, but he likes to look forwards, not back, whereas me .... I love looking at photos, but now don't know one end of a camera from the other because it's been so long since I took any good ones. : (
