I've been threatening to do this for quite a while, and now it's a done deal. I took some pictures of my guitar and amplifier equipment and have posted it on Facebook. Here are the highlights for those of you here that aren't on Facebook but might be interested:

First, a global picture of the whole rig. I didn't bother hooking everything up, like my multi-effects stomp box and wireless (both amps, though)...I just wanted to show the basic rig:

This next photo is a close-up of my 1980 Gibson Les Paul Artist. It is the only 'Paul that was offered with on-board electronics, based on the Moog Synthesizer. Notice the three toggle switches mounted diagonally at bottom right...they are 3-position toggle switches that control the electronics:

Image

This next photo is of my Marshall 100-watt half-stack (only one speaker bottom). It's not tube, but it's a Marshall!

Image

My 80-watt Marshall Stereo Combo. Sweet!

Me, Rockin' out!

GET DOWN!

GOOD LORD! I'm slightly reminiscent of Keith Richards! :gah: :lmao4:

If I figure I can do so without totally embarrassing myself, perhaps I'll make a short video and put it on Youtube.

:band:

I don't know anything about your gear, but it, your Les Paul (I've heard of him & his incredible contribution to guitars - didn't he just pass away recently?) guitar & you look fantastic, Glenn!

What sort of music do you play? Have you ever played in/with a band? DO post a video!

Thanks for pm-ing me. I don't go into the music topic much & would probably have missed it.

Brilliant! :bana:

OK, here it is at long last (what was it, all of an hour or so? :P ). I've posted the video to my Facebook Page in my Videos section, and it's viewable by everyone, so it should work here.

You can view it at the following link. If you have any problems, post a note and I'll also upload it to my Youtube account, and that should definitely be viewable.

Aerosmith - Somebody - Covered by me [HQ]

I'm going to try and practice a bit more in the coming days, and perhaps I'll be able to post more than one of my warm-up songs that I now do poorly due to lack of practice.

You know what? FB's videos sucks! I'm going to post it to Youtube tomorrow. I like their system a lot better. FB was so slow in the delivery that I had to stop it several times to let the cache catch up. Youtube doesn't have near that problem, and when the cache is completely loaded, it will stay for a while.

I had FB caching freeze either Firefox's or Java's response, and unfortunately I had the video full screen. I had to force a reboot in order to gain back control of my computer! Oh well....

OK, it's a done deal:

Seems like Youtubes rendering of the video is a lot better than FB's. It actually looks half-way decent.
