'The big Cuban opened his legs and showed his class'
Said by David Coleman
When Montreal Olympics, 1976

Actually it was said by Ron Pickering,

:lmao4: here are some more ...

David Coleman
"He is one of the great unknown champions because very little is known about him."

"If that had gone in, it would have been a goal."

"We estimate, and this isn't an estimation, that Greta Waltz is 80 seconds behind."

"He is accelerating all the time. The last lap was run in 64 seconds and the one before in 62."

"And the line-up for the final of the women's 400 metres hurdles includes three Russians, two East Germans, a Pole, a Swede and a Frenchman."

"The front wheel crosses the finish line, closely followed by the back wheel."

"The Republic of China: back in the Olympic Games for the first time."

"That's the fastest time ever run, but it's not as fast as the world record."

"Forest have now lost six matches without winning."

David Coleman was a great commentator but would talk so fast his words would mix up sometimes!

This week, every day's a hugely busy one. It's very rare that I lie in bed, even when I'm not feeling too well - like now. When the flu was at its worst, if you can say that, I stayed in bed until about 9 a.m. one morning. That was 2.5 - 3 hours over what I normally get in the way of sleep, but I've had an odd couple of hours here and there when I've had time to do it.

In the mornings, I have to get up - school things to see to, animals to feed and so on. I don't mind in the usual way, but this bug's knocked me back a bit. I've had it for over 4 weeks now. : (
