You've got it in one. I love them, but they're not so good when they ignore their scratching posts and start using the furniture instead. : )

Funnily enough, I don't mind that too much. I've got used to it over time, but when we'd been here about 2 years, my parents offered us a velvet-type suite to go in a spare room. Took me ages to dare to tell them that the back'd got shredded to bits! You see why the cats we have live outside now??? : )

once we got the scratching posts, they've left the couch alone. we put them right by the couch so it was really just easier to attack the posts.

Ours ignored them. They used the settee back to race up and down, ears flat to their heads, tails swishing. I'd sit there laughing at them, until I saw the damage some time later. : (

:o Oh no.

Funny, ours left that side alone, or at least didn't leave any tell-tale tears. They never went for toilet rolls, as in the vid ( ) but the door mat went through it a bit, and as kittens they'd run up the curtains! :lmao4:

:lmao4: Oh bless. Ours never did that, but every one of them's had their preferred sleeping places. One of ours used to try and sneak into the meter cupboard. There was hardly any room for him, especially as he got bigger, but we'd find him half inside it, and half out.

for some reason, one of our cats has taken to bathroom mat. even after being stepped on as I don't turn the lights on as I figure I can pretty well wash my hands in the semidarkness... he can hear me, yet will not move...

I've learned to drag my feet to feel for fur.

:lmao1: LOL!!! The things we do so as not to disturb our pets, eh? I know what you mean. Rosie was asleep on her blanket this morning and I wanted to wash it. She looked so peaceful, and was snoring away, so ... I left it until she woke up again. :P

Impossible. Nothing to hand to take any photos with. I'll do my best, when I get chance.

I have, I have. I'm still waiting for the wedding pics to come my way, and when I say I just want to borrow a phone, they either say: "Later", or "No!" They're not very forthcoming. I was fortunate when I managed to sneak one before. Now they seem glued to them in case I pinch them. : (

No, father does, indirectly. They pay for their phones out of the money they're given.
