It's strange you know. I love animals, and love looking at photos of them, but I'm not really into paintings of them. I found the pencil drawings above while I was looking at some ones of birds. I can't remember where I found them now, because I kept clicking from page to page and site to site, but there was an excellent one of a parrot. Then I saw the tigers, and thought they were very good, so decided to share them on here.

My favourite are the Siberian tigers. All lovely cats, but I think they take some beating.

Sorry, I should've been more specific. I meant the rare white Siberian tigers - the ones with the blue/green eyes, and yes, the others're lovely as well.

saw one in a zoo we accidentally stumbled into in Canada. (we'd thought it was one of those free roaming parks) it was gorgeous - and stuck in a cage.

we'll not make that mistake again.

I hate zoos. The best one I've been to's the one at Chester. Everything's so clean, and you can watch the food being prepared for the various animals, but even so, a caged animal's a caged one. It upsets me to see them like that, even though they give each species a fair amount of space there, and try to make the area as much like "home" as possible. At least the keepers I spoke to were completely dedicated to the animals they cared for, but I still don't like to see such places, and large cats should be in wildlife parks at the very least, NOT banged up in a small enclosure.
