Stephen Fry

I've always liked Stephen, not least because of his ability to give wonderful after-dinner speeches that don't bore the pants off everyone, his intelligence and his quick and articulate brain, but reading that he's planning to marry his latest boyfriend, Spencer Elliott, made me wonder if the man's doing the right thing?

Stephen's 57, and Spencer's 27. Age differences don't always matter, but Stephen openly admits that he's been depressive, and that bouts of loneliness drove him to the point of suicide.

If the couple split up, I can't imagine what it might do him.

Do you think that a 30 year age difference can work?

I haven't got time to watch almost an hour of video, but I've seen snippets of it.

I don't have a lot of patience when it comes to watching TV/films/vids - unless something strikes me as particularly interesting, but I suppose everyone's like that at times.

I don't have patience when standing in a shop or bank queue, especially if someone's just yabbering about the weather or something and holding the rest up.

I can be patient when listening to people who're talking to me, especially children, and I'm patient with animals.

You HAVE to be patient with animals, especially when training them. They can't speak our language (although our dogs aren't bad at it!) so you have to be patient until they understand.

Yes, and some queues're worse than others. In fact, I walked out of somewhere this morning, rather than hang on for longer. All I wanted was a coffee, and I was second in the line, but the cashier couldn't get the till to work properly. Instead of calling for a supervisor, she kept pressing the buttons, sighing, trying repeatedly ... and without a word of apology to the folk waiting.

Doesn't always work, but I know what you mean. Banks're horrible. There's always a queue as soon as they open.

LOL!

Yes, I'm pleased for him. Elton and David seem OK, so why not Stephen and Elliott?
