first you unplug it, then plug it back in.

if that doesn't work, unplug it, take off the bowl and put it back on, then plug it back in.

if that doesn't work, boot it.

    :P

You know, I haven't used my food processor for years, literally. I'm not even sure whether I've still got it. Think the last time it was used was for making up baby food.

we have one that pulverizes anything. you can make icecream from all kinds of stuff because it ends up looking like icecream. you can toss in a variety of things and get a cream soup. no chopping, no peeling [maybe bananas...] just wash and cram it in. it you leave it a few minutes, it'll cook it.

when you're done, toss in water and soap, buzz, rinse, and it's clean.

      i likes it.

LOl!! You make yours sound so easy - and well-used. I had mine given to me, and only used it for one or two jobs. Didn't even mix pastry up in it. It became redundant once the kids were on more solid food.

I don't like smoothies but juicers are useful.
