They always say that the politicians don't run the government, it's the lobbyists for big corporations that run the government. Basically politicians and lawmakers are bribed everyday to look favourably on some big corporation or other. The gun lobby is a huge group movement, that's why guns will never be controlled as long as politicians continue to be bribed. As the article stated the pharmaceutical corporations have the largest amount of lobbying, why do you think the big corporations don't want Obamacare.

The bank lobbyists did a great job in allowing the banks to do whatever they like and get away with a slapped wrist.

Ambramoff, was just small fry. He was used as a scapegoat to cover for a lot of the things the public don't know or care about. He was used as cover for Dubya while he was president and John McCain during his presidential bid. Both had very close dealings with Ambramoff, both got off scott free.

As long as politicians are greedy there will always be lobbyists. I don't care what side of the fence a politician sits on or how idealist they may be when they first start out. As soon as they meet their first lobbyist they become just like all the rest.
