pagan view

an interesting, but to me, rather alien life... perhaps to most people?

maybe i just wouldn't have the energy for all that?

i'm not sure what you mean. hm... let me think.

ok, i'm happy for her, i have no problem with that life style, as long as everybody's happy, go for it! but gee, i don't think i'd have the energy to keep one lousy relationship afloat. they're a lot of work.

oh, ah, i'm thinking of living with a spouse... nothing there says she's living with anyone...

i'm definitely a pagan, just a lazy one without altars and stuff.

All her Christian friends came up with rationalizations for her abandoning the Christian way of life. She felt they missed the point. Truth is, nobody in her circle accepted her for who she REALLY is, and that inability is due to their Christian indoctrination.

It's far better to be who you are than it is to not be what you cannot believe in. A whole lot of atheists seem to miss that point.
    QUESTION: Who are you?
INCORRECT ANSWER: I am not a Christian.
CORRECT ANSWER: I am a pagan.

right you are! when i lived in the country in canada i discovered that answering Lutheran to a catholic or Protestant to a mormon would cut the conversation, while Atheist would add fuel to the fire. if an atheist, they reasoned, they had a bit more work to do, but the ah! the possibilities.
