At Last, A New Blog Post!

Hi Gang

The long drought is over. I finally managed to put together another installment for the Blog.

With working for a living; editing, publishing and rewriting my own works; time is at a premium.

In the latest post, I give an example of how we take a bland paragraph, add a problem, remove the logical possibilities, then come up with an idea, a surprise, the reader might not outguess first.

It is found in Gary's Writing Tips, a sub-topic within this Writers Corner Forum.

Thanks Yogi
NaNoWriMo is coming up in November.
I've never done it before; mainly because I felt it was nonsensical.
Writing should not be quantity over quality. Although I do see their point.
This year I have a little over 36 friends forcing me to do it, hi hi.....
I really don't have the time.
But with an arsenal pointed at my head, and death threats.
I had better comply.
Many are friends I made at work, and now know them outside of work.
They see the output of our monthly 60 minute challenge.
Although I've never won, it's not actually a contest, but a performance test.
On the categories that matter most, I've been in the top ten.
And to be honest, in some categories, I'm near the bottom.
To WIN at NaNo, one only needs to hit 50k words in 30 days.
That's only 1,667 words per day. At work I normally crank out over 2k per day.
Then after work, for myself, another 1k per day, unless I'm editing.
However, for those, I'm working on an assigned concept, or something I know well.
For NaNo, I have to start fresh, and I'm choosing a topic I've not written in before.
The bad part is, it will take me away from my own WIP for a month.
Again, thanks for the compliment Yogi!
