I'm no expert on gardening MWB, but you'd surely have to be careful that some of the grass didn't seed, especially if yanked up by the roots.
Ours goes into a composter, and it's left to rot down for a good while before being used.

My grnad mother told me when she was young the delivery men used to come round with a horse and cart and her mum would always be going out to collect any presents from the horse with her shovel to put on her rhubarb - my grnadmother said she used to think I hope none of my friends can see her....

It's true Cathy!!!!
I used to visit someone who lived in a mining village in Yorkshire, and the woman once told me how, when horses went past and deposited on the road, EVERYONE ran out with their dustpans and shovels - first come, first served!
I ASSUME it was for their gardens.......

Well um....I can't think of many other uses one might find for such organic waste!! :lmao4:

However, seems the art and sculpture world can think of some.....

Horrors!!!!! Worse than that - there's a museum in Germany dedicated to the stuff! They have paintings done in it, and other works of ...erm....art.
Not really somewhere you'd take your maiden aunt to for a Sunday outing, is it??!!!!!

That made me feel sick.....

No place to avoid - and not take the boys to - Jack would delight in telling everyone - he's at that stage where anything like that is funny - :o

Oh I'm sure mine'd be in fits as well, but I couldn't believe that folk'd want galleries dedicated to the stuff!!!
With the pic, there's supposedly a "reason" behind the art. Well they can keep it. It wouldn't grace a table or sideboard of mine!!!! :P

meanwhile, when i first started school at 6 yrs old, the boys in my class thought it was funny to throw them at the girls...

i had a bunch of roses at one of the houses we lived in and i got a garbage bagful of horse poop and the roses went wild! they grew 6-7" tall and bloomed like crazy!
