The airlines just want to take advantage of we women as they know we are prone to over-packing.
It's discrimination against a genetic prediposition......

Last time I went away I had too much for hot and not enough-well,nothing-for cool. I froze in the evenings...and spent a fair amount of time during the day, looking for a pashmina or something to keep me from turning blue.

I've got it off to an art now. I have a few necessary items that're always in my case, and if I shoot off at quick notice, I just grab a few more of the main essentials. I can literally be ready for the off in 5 minutes.

That's the way to do it! It was easier for that guy to just put a couple of pairs of jeans and some T shirts in the case though. What about us girls who want to take 2-3 nice dresses for when we're expecting to dine somewhere a bit more select than the nearest McDonalds? You can also bet your bottom dollar that our blouses/tops need an iron when they exit the case again, but! I've got the packing bit off to an art. The hardest bit's deciding on WHICH clothes I'll need, depending on the weather and what places I'll be going to.

Fully agree with you Ice!

The biggest challenge is when you travel to a place where it is possible to get three seasons in a week and you need to be prepared both for rain AND for the beach, not mentioning dinings...

It'll be bad enough when I just go down to London shortly. It might rain, it might not. It might be blowing a gale, or we might have an Indian summer. Can get a bit difficult can't it? So you pack a"little case" that turns into a massive great thing, and then end up wearing just a few of the packed items! : )

When are you going to Paris?

I go in 10 days.
I fly to Paris to meet my family there; we stay 6 days in Paris; after that, we fly to Spain and we spend 6-7 day on the Mediterranean coast; then 10 hrs drive by car and the holidays will be over. :)
