'In dog we trust'

A rug has been removed from a sheriff's office in Florida after it was noticed that it read "in dog we trust" instead of "in God we trust".

No "oops" about it, in my opinion. They should have kept the rug. I'd trust a dog with proven loyalty and affection far more than I'd trust most people, and certainly more than I'd trust a being who may or may not exist -- and, if he or she does, probably doesn't give a hairy rat's ass about me, anyway!

I don't understand what's wrong with the rug! don't they trust their dogs?

it that case, they need better trainers.

Yes, I'd much rather trust a dog, as long as it wasn't food.

Our last two were partial to rhododendrons and Christmas cacti, plus an array of other delights. : (
