Yes that does work, I've been doing it for years, but the only problem is, some Lifts don't actually have a close door button and they have a censor to hold the door open!

What happens when several folk are in the lift at once, and may all want to get out at different floors??? You can't all be pressing different levels at once without it working in the same way as any other lift?
