Talk about the weather, but can anyone really do anything about it?

the ONLY accurate forecaster that i know of! :lmao4:

well, they're promissing 37º c's tomorrow. that's your average core body temperature, folks, can't remember what it's in F's, 98.6?. add heavy duty humidity, and both you and your dogs have your tongues just about falling out.

needless to say, all the networks are tripping over each other to give you hints on how to survive this. stuff like, umm... stay in shade, drink plenty of water; dress lightly; eat lightly. etc.

duh. unless you lived within the arctic circles all your life, you'd already KNOW all this.

Well, it got better(?) than that here today, with the same for the next several days. :sigh:

Yes, 37°C is 98.6°F (as Spock would say, "approximately 98.60000000000001" :P ). Where I'm working (no air conditioning) it got up to around 102°F (around 38.9°C), and I have no idea what the heat index was. Let's just say it was "high enough"...enough to make you sick!

Not to worry...I'm following all the "suggestions" (except for staying at home in the air conditioning...a bit hard to do that and work) as a matter of survival. I just hope I can make the next two days. Sunday evening a cool front (if you can call it that) is supposed to pass through and the Monday high will be around 90°F.

Better break out the cold weather gear!

Oh dear. Poor you. I've said something to you somewhere (forget which topic!), after reading about the weather you're having over there. It sounds awful to me, Glenn.
