Why the change in my cat?

Postby MWB » 08 Dec 2009, 16:17

My latest cat, (I have 4 cats now) is just one year old & spayed.

I got her as a 3 month old. She was so affectionate, following me everywhere, sleeping with me, on my lap, everything. But of late, she won't have a thing to do with me.

She doesn't sleep on the bed, (well apart from her being on it in the morning to ensure she doesn't miss out on the breakfast cat biscuits) she won't come onto my lap, (she prefers a sheepskin rug), etc.

She's always around, or within tushing range, & most of the time loves to be stroked, but why has she stopped being so affectionate?

Is it because she's a teenager now & is going through a "stage"? Is it that she's embarrassed to be seen with me in front of her friends?

I leave her alone, for the most part, to let her do what she wants, but I miss her.

Yes, she's absolutely fine, vikki, thanks.

She's shiny coated, damp nosed, clear eyed, fine. And she's as happy as a pig in poo as well.
