Poor wee daizy

Postby Sandra » 19 Apr 2012, 06:36

Well I've had wee Daizy at the vet againt his morning. I had noticed her eye was watery yesterday and thought she must of just gotten a chill in it. This morning she has been sick and won't go out or even look at her breakfast, she is very warm and her eye is closed over but the water is still seeping out. I phoned the vet and they said to take her over. She was quite worried about her eye as it is red and very swollen, actually a wee bit sticking out the socket! She has given me Voltarol and Chloromycetin ointment an we've to go back tomorrow for a pressure test behind the eye. She said it's hopefully an infection and the meds she has given her will take care of it but can't rule out a tumour behind the eye (that would be the worst case scenario) I'll just have to keep an eye on her for the next 24hrs. :(

Thankyou pilvikki  she is such a worry. Her wee eye has closed over now..I'm hoping that is a good thing.

Wee update on daizy. She has a ulser on her eye which is giving her a lot of pain but the vet did a debridement (scraped her eye) and she is looking a bit happier. Thank goodness. She is a lot brighter this morning. Even had something to eat.

Sorry for my lateness! New job and wedding drama!!

Funny when I first read your post I thought--ULCER!!! and thats what she has. I see this all the time, more often than not it will heal over just fine. Sometimes it takes a while, and sometimes the cornea scars which looks like a tiny white spot on the eye. Even with the scar, they seem to see ok. Hugs to her, hope she is doing better!

She's rid of yet another drama. She is just a poorly wee dog that seems to get everything that's going but I wouldn't swap her for the world.

7 weeks till your wedding, that's flown in  :o I hope you're not stressing too much
