my lucy love is smelly. i mean seriously! she's only 3 yrs old next month and she reeks from her glands. when i can't stand it again, i haul her off to the vet and he drains them, but i'm wondering if there is anything i can do to stop it in the first place? i've read about it on the net, but i didn't come up with anything i thought i could use...

try 1 tablespoon plain or vanilla yogurt in your pets food with every meal. Also- the Fiber one cereal that looks like sticks, 1/4 cup in food can add fiber which can flush the glands naturally when your pet poops.

I'll need to try this on my youngest dog Daizy. She smells really bad sometimes and I have no clue what causes it.

Thankyou

Can I just come in on this please? Do you mean the anal glands or from elsewhere?

We have 4 dogs, 3 of them bitches, and they've never had an unpleasant smell. Then again, they've all been speyed. Does this have any influence over that type of glandular smell?
