watching the westminster i've always been baffled how some dogs are removed from the table by the handler picking it up by its tail.

they're usually the stubby tailed ones (i think) and sure, it's quite handy, but it really baffles me.

its usually terriers, and they have tails bred to be a certain way to handle that, its so when they "go to ground" (go after something in an under ground tunnel) you can grab thier tails to get them out
