Wow - some brilliant books on that list. Of mice and Men was a glorious read (to me).

Well, sorry, but I disagree with you both on this one. I couldn't fault the titles that were displayed, and neither, it seems, can anyone else, but there are definitely some books which I think should be removed from the classroom.

I don't agree with advertising same-sex relationships to young children, although I have nothing against gay people at all. Children don't need this to be forced down their throats from a young age. I'm referring here to a book which was included in our Primary School library. I forget the author - annoyingly - but almost every parent made complaints when their children were expected to read it, and the book was removed shortly afterwards.

They pretend that some of these books are "educational". Well I think that little ones can do without it then.

Nothing like turning the pages of a real book though, is there?

So do I. Wish I had more time for reading, but my leisure time gets eaten up more by the week.

Needs must at this end, but I've actually got more time than I did just a few years ago. It just doesn't feel like it!
