fabulous concept, great descriptions. took him 20 years to write the sodding book. he should have stopped 10 yrs prior and perhaps had a tighter book?

total loss.

what a shame...

Is that Alice Ferney? I've never read any of her books, but then, being in French .......

sorry, bin a bit out of it lately... ok, a bit more...

Ferney is the name of the book, the same guy wrote the Horse Whisperer, [which i won't be reading]. let's see... the name is... james long.

and as i was looking for the author's namem i see this:

Trade in Ferney for an Amazon.co.uk gift card of up to £0.25, which you can then spend on millions of items across the site.

that's a hell of a gift card!

anyway, ferney is about a guy and a woman who are reincarnated over the centuries and get to keep their memories from the previous round. they usually find each but in the present timeline they got out of sync and gally married a guy called mike before she realised who she was.

so, instead of concentrating on the awesome historical stories he's dredged up, the writer is wasting half the book moaning and groaning about what to do between the 2 guys she's got on the go.

how maudling and tedious can you get?

Well it COULD be a decent read, because the plot's a bit different from the norm, but ... no, I'll take your word for it!

bummer, eh?

i'd love to know if it's historically accurate stuff he's found, or if it's just filler for the book...?

It's probably based on fact, but since the rest of it's fantasy, the historical bits could be as well - or shall I say, embellished slightly!
