To return to the original issue of this post:

The Hobbit seems to have experienced a short lifespan. While the LOTR movies received wide acclaim and are still being sold in various formats, I just picked up The Hobbit from Walmart...in the bargain bin...for $12.

Of course, it has been several months since it came out, but still...from the big screen, to DVD, and now the DVD is in the bargain bin...a rather ignominious fate!
