A Cast of Killers by Sidney D. Kirkpatrick.
Taylorology. I've been into that site but it's hard going, so I thought I'd go to the horses mouth & read about William Desmond Taylors murder in 1922.
King Vidor knew most of the people involved in the scandal & in 1967, researched it to make a movie about it. He came to his own conclusion about who did it, although the Talorology site says he made lots of factual errors. But he never ended up making the movie & after Vidors death, Kirkpatrick wrote this book based on Vidors notes.
All the suspects & most of the people involved are mentioned - Mary Miles Minter & her horrendous mother, Mabel Normand, Antonio Moreno, Gloria Swanson, the detectives who worked on the case - & those still alive were interviewed by Vidor.
Very, very interesting book. It's a quick, easy, nice read.
